Tim’s Take: Let’s not beat around the bush. This is a high risk opportunity given the franchisor is brand spanking new! However, they are a part of EverSmith brands which is owned by The Riverside Company, which is a well known private equity firm (who I happened to do commercial due diligence projects for during my time as a strategy consultant for Parthenon-EY).

If you can get comfortable with being very early on in a concept, this opportunity checks A LOT of boxes for the vast majority of candidates I speak with and could be worth your time to take a look at. Given it is mandated by the government, demand for this service is likely to always exist and will need to be done on a consistent basis.

Also, the margin potential is insane for a service-based franchise. 10-15% net margin is a pretty normal range with some franchises getting up in the 20% range. Kitchen Guard is up at 30%! Will new franchisees experience this margin? Most likely not in their first year, but it gives you a sense of what is possible over time as your business grows.
